Is the future habitable? In search of a presence in Futur Parc, Guillaume Pascale — along with Philippe Lauzier and Emilie Mouchous —enter a forbidden future and present a musical improvisation composed of environmental data collected live, in a present from somewhere else. Follow the future.
On the way, Alexandre Bérubé might distribute a slice of lahmacun, and Frédérique Laliberté will do everything she can to mess things up… You’ve been warned. You are not welcome to the future.

Philippe Lauzier
Philippe Lauzier (b. 1977) is an artist active in the field of experimental music and sound art. He performs mainly on bass clarinet and saxophone – composing with synthesizers, prepared piano, autoharp, percussion and sampling. He takes part in many tours and residencies in Canada, Europe, USA, Mexico, Australia and China, where he performs solo or with groups and collectives Saint Laurens, Motel Hélène, Quartetski, Not the Music, Ensemble SuperMusique and others. Since 2015, Philippe has been creating works where music, sound and the visual arts meet (Le Parc est dans la boîte, Bleu Pénombre and Sept objets) with artist Frédérique Laliberté (Motel Hélène). With some fifteen albums to his credit, Philippe has recently released four solo titles, Transparence [Schraum, 2013], Dôme [Small Scale Music, 2016], A pond in my living room [Sofa, 2017] and Contreplaqué [2021].
Émilie Mouchous
Émilie Mouchous is a sound artist who builds her own electronic circuits. She lives and works in Montreal. Her spatial, temporal and sonic explorations are characterized by the creation of autonomous mini-systems, emerging in turn as radio devices, performances, series of electronic objects, in situ interventions, web art, writing and free, collaborative improvisation. She is often inspired by listening to and observing native and invasive flora and fauna, and by the singularity of the spaces she invests. Her creations have been presented in contexts such as the Biennale d’art performatif de Rouyn-Noranda, the international circuit-bending festival BENT (NYC), the experimental radio platform Radius (Chicago), Deep Wireless (NAISA, Toronto), Montreal festivals MUTEK, Suoni per il Popolo and Akousma, artist-run center Caravansérail (Rimouski), Kunstenfestivaldesarts (Brussels), Kunstradio (Vienna), RadiaLx Festival de arte radio (Lisbon) and the Free Music Archive.
