Closing — Screening and micro-publications

Verticale — centre d’artistes invites the public to the closing of L’enquête des nuisances by artists Clément de Gaulejac and Marc-Alexandre Reinhardt. Part fiction, part scientific research, this nearly year-long project takes on a “vile” protagonist: the white grub. In the field, the artists discover its habitat and investigate its exact nature and the nuisance it is accused of causing. The humans who observe it (landscapers, entomologists, anthropologists, citizens) were also interviewed as witnesses and as the project’s first participating public. 

The public can follow this nuisance inquiry through a series of self-published booklets (Cahiers des nuisances 00, 01, 02, and 03), sent out by mail. Two additional booklets (Cahiers 04 and 05) will be available at the closing event, which will also feature a screening of their video-performance titled Vérification Générale (2023), and a chance to talk with the artists.
