Déroute seeks to highlight the problem of obsolescence, as evidenced by landscapes marred by a proliferation abandoned highway infrastructure. This installation takes the form of an art intervention in a vacant urban lot, and projects us in the vestiges of the automobile era’s blind romanticism.

Set in an abandoned, yet-to-be-developed lot, Déroute raises questions about the exponential growth of our current highway networks, the limits of urban sprawl, and the fragmentation of natural environments.
