Performative workshop

This workshop (or “seminar” in sports lingo) will focus on cheating. Jean-Pierre Mot will guide participants in an exploration, through movements based in Muay Thai boxing, of each individual’s capacity to overthrow the established power!

For Train Easy, Fight Sleazy, Mot trained in the art of Muay Thai boxing for several months, and created the character of the corrupt fighter through which he addresses ideas around power relations, morals and the rules of society.

Participants may be invited to collaborate as extras in Mot’s performance Train Easy, Fight Sleazy, presented by Verticale as part of VIVA! Art Action’s performance festival.

This activity is also part of the programming for the 21st Journées de la culture.
