To conclude the 6^th edition of our research-creation mentorship program launched this spring, Verticale—centre d’artistes invites the public to an artist talk with Stéphanie Bourgault and guest mentor Julie Lequin.

This informal (but prepared, they assure us!) discussion will focus on Stéphanie’s video installation Si tu ne me vois pas, est-ce que j’existe toujours? [If you don’t see me, do I still exist?] produced over the summer and activated in different sites throughout Île-Jésus in the fall. Well-accustomed to having live, online conversations, they will share insights into their unique mentoring experience during the pandemic. Julie will also present paintings and a video excerpt from her most recent project, Un congé de maternité c’est pas vraiment un congé [A maternity leave is not really a leave]. And finally, they will launch their new zine featuring highlights from their collaboration!
