“Juliette, Raymond, Alberto, Astrid and Louise. These characters—perhaps fictional, perhaps non-fictional—kept me company during the many hours I spent in my adopted Laval basement last spring.
Emanating from these encounters and from territorial fragments of Saint-François district, the self-published book Emprunter (le bout de l’île) was conceived during the pandemic and was stored in a box all summer before finally being launched in the fall.
The public is invited to experience the work in situ by reading the text while walking the path that begins where they pick up the book.”
