“As a child, in my single-family concrete cocoon, I saw myself in a spacesuit floating in the sterile environment of shopping malls that were like giant space ships. I chased aliens at night with my friends, a sheet of aluminum foil pressed onto my head to prevent a lobotomy.”
Inspired by a kind of genre cinema, but also by the memories and imagination of invited guests and the public, our discussion will focus on contemplating suburbia and its surrounding area through the lens of fiction and science-fiction.

Marion Lessard
Marion Lessard is a collective made up of Jean-Nicolas Léonard, Alice Roussel, Marie Cherbat-Schiller, Élisabeth M. Larouine and Claude Romain, whose peridisciplinary work in video, literature, drawing, lectures and paradoxes revolves around notions and pursues goals. Her research focuses on what it is to wear oneself and understand oneself as a Being, underpinning an identity that is expected, extending uniquely over time, and yet being just as much five. Grand Slack
David Leduc, aka Le Grand Slack, is a writer, performer and event organizer who has been active on the Quebec slam scene since 2008. He has performed and presented his show accompanied by his musicians all over Quebec. He leads slam workshops in youth centres, high schools, CEGEPs and universities. From 2012 to 2015, he organized and hosted the Figures de Style open mic nights at the “Les Pas Sages” bar in Montreal. He has taken part several times in the word battle on Radio-Canada’s Plus on est de fous, plus on lit! His participation in the collective “À leur tour de larguer les amours” was enthusiastically received by Le Devoir. He was three times part of the Montreal team at the national slam finals. He is currently working on his first spoken word EP with DJ Horg.
